The board, which was announced by Health and Child Care Minister Dr Obadiah Moyo on Wednesday comprises people with diverse skills from human resources, academia, health and sexual and reproductive health specialists.

Dr Nyatsuro will be deputised by Dr Stanzia Moyo, a research expert in sexual and reproductive health.
The other board members are; Mr David Mutizwa, Mrs Junior Mututu, Mr Tanyaradzwa Nyakatawa, Mrs Sharon Bwanya, Mr Dzikamai Rufu and Dr Munyaradzi Murwira (ex officio member).
Dr Moyo implored the members to maintain the ZNFPC’s integrity in provision of family planning services.

“We want Zimbabwe to remain on top of the situation as far as controlling teenage pregnancies, to increase the contraceptive prevalence rate, which currently stands at 68 percent,” he said.
“We want it to go up.”

Dr Nyatsuro said they will strive to maintain the ZNFPC standards, which are regionally recognised.
