NEW: Budding businesspeople share ideas

ASPIRING businesspeople and proprietors of budding enterprises on Monday converged in Harare to discuss opportunities and ways of enhancing their enterprises.

Dubbed “A Date with Financial Success,” those who attended the seminar deliberated on several issues, with the issue of how to raise capital being one of the most followed.

Mr Hilary Kutama Mushavaviri, an expert on crowd funding, organised the engagement through his company, Wanamari.

Zeuth Petroleum president, Professor Ethan Moyo, and Ms Rebecca Manford, a multi-award winning business executive, were the guest speakers.

Known in business circles as “Mr Billions”, the youthful Mr Mushavaviri said the one-day workshop was a huge success.

“In Professor Moyo and Ms Manford, we had resource persons who are not only experienced, but also have the passion to help start-ups,” he said.

Mr Gilbert Chipiri, a budding entrepreneur, said the workshop was a game-changer for him.

“Personally, I benefited a lot. The resource people have practical experiences on how to start and manage big businesses.

“My business is definitely going to benefit from the discussions that we had,” he said.
