NEW: Cabinet approves ZPC–Jindal partnership to revive Hwange Power Station Units 1–6

CABINET has considered and approved the public-private partnership project between the Zimbabwe Power Company (ZPC) and Jindal (Private) Limited for rehabilitation of Hwange Power Station’s Unit 1-6.

The project is aimed at reviving the old units and auxiliaries under a Rehabilitate, Operate and Transfer Model.

Rehabilitation of the units will significantly boost local power supplies, which, in turn, will increase industrial output and positively impact on economic growth.
