EMMANUEL Chipucha, a truck driver who is based in South Africa, recently released his second album titled “Rwendo Rweupenyu.”

The six tracks that make up the new album are, “Zino Irema,” “Nhamo Ndiregererewo,” “Chivaraidzo,” “Chirangano,” “Baba Musadaro” and “Ivai Nerudo”.

Best known by his stage name “Manex”, Chipucha, who leads the Orchestra Horizon Band, sings out of passion and not need.

“Since 2012, I have been a full-time truck driver and this is my major source of livelihood.

“Singing is a way of expressing myself,” said the 39-year-old.

Manex’s debut album, “Mhezi Yerudo,” was released in 2021.

“Matemai,” one of the songs on this album, was well-received and made it onto the National FM chart show.

Manex is optimistic that his new production will perform better than the first.

“I spend a lot of time on this new product. The sound quality is good and the messages on the songs are meaningful,” said the sungura musician.

He tipped the song “Nhamo Ndiregererewo” to become a chart-topper.

“Something inside me tells me that the song “Nhamo Ndiregererewo” will be well-received.

“I trust my instincts, and I am certain the song will even surpass “Matemai,” he said.

Hailing from Mhondoro-Ngezi, Manex wants to become a full-time musician one day.

“I am bringing in studio equipment, with the hope of one day establishing a studio in my home area.

“I will go into music production once I retire from driving,” he said.
