BUSINESSMAN and philanthropist Max Tshuma has died.
He was 50.
Tshuma succumbed to Covid-19 at a private clinic in Harare on August 4.
“I can confirm that Mr Tshuma is no more. His funeral will be held virtually in line with the Covid-19 guidelines,” said a family spokesperson.
Tshuma was a successful businessman in the tourism and hospitality industry, specialising in the casino and gaming industry, where he served in various capacities for close to four decades.
At the time of his death, he was the chief executive officer of Enterpro Casino (Pvt), trading as Regency Casino, and chairperson of the Casino Operators Association Zimbabwe.
The philanthropist masterminded fundraising projects for several charitable organisations such as Harare Children’s Home, Chinyaradzo Children’s Home, Cancer Association of Zimbabwe, Albino Association, Tsanga Lodge Rehabilitation, Ekhuphumuleni Old People’s Home, St Giles Rehabilitation Centre, Aids Network, rural clinics and schools, among other institutions.
The revered businessman also held several top portfolios in his professional career.
