PREPARATIONS for the 2025 Zimbabwe Climate Change Sustainability Week (SW25) and Green Business Expo to be held in Bulawayo are now at an advanced stage.
Slated for September 18-18, the event is being hosted by The ClimatePrenuer (Private) Limited in partnership with the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF) Company and the Ministry of Environment, Climate and Wildlife.
The event will be held at the Zimbabwe International Conference and Exhibition Smart City (ZICES).
Running under the theme “Towards a Green Economy: Zimbabwe’s Roadmap to Growth”, the three-day gathering will bring together Government, business, academia, non-governmental organisations and community leaders to turn Zimbabwe’s climate challenges into green opportunities.
The 2025 Sustainability Week and Green Business Expo is designed to translate national frameworks such as the National Development Strategy 2 (NDS2) (2026-2030) and the country’s third-generation Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC3.0) into on-the-ground action.
The ClimatePrenuer executive chairperson Mr Kwanele Hlabangana, who is also co-chairperson of the SW25 event organising committee, said: “The preparations are going on very well. We are thrilled by the overwhelming response from across Government, private sector financiers and international partners who are all eager to collaborate on tangible climate action.”
