A Kuwadzana woman has brought her co-wife to court alleging that she insulted and threatened to dump her baby at her house.

Ms Valentine Mahlupeko (37) made the allegations on Tuesday at the Harare Civil Court.

She told the court that her co-wife, Ms Sharon Zhuwawo (28), insulted her and threatened to dump her child at her house following an altercation with their husband.

“She visited my residence in 2023 and told me she was carrying my husband’s baby. Every time she has an argument with the husband she always involves me.

“She called me last week and told me that she was coming to drop the baby at my house, including the unborn baby after she delivers,” she said.

In response, Mrs Zhuwawo disputed the allegation and argued that their husband was the one who wanted to bring the babies to Ms Mahlupeko.

“I called to inform her that our husband was having another affair with another woman. I have never insulted her and we are in good books.

“She posted my picture on Facebook alleging that I have a relationship with her husband, but I was officially married and introduced to the family,” she said.

Presiding magistrate Ms Sharon Mashavira ordered Ms Zhuwawo not to insult or threaten Ms Mahlupeko.
