A NEW generation of Bulawayo creatives is seeking to make its mark on Zimbabwe’s music industry through the formation of Zaza Nation Entertainment, a youth-driven collective of singers and dancers determined to showcase the city’s talent on both the national and international stage.
The movement traces its roots to 2023 when three young artistes, Mthabisi Mgcini Moyo (Tripple M), Mzingaye Khumalo (KingGhost) and Joseph Marshall Ndlovu (Joe West), came together under the name YoungKidz. Their vision was to create a platform where emerging artistes could nurture their talents while promoting Zimbabwean culture through music and performance.
As their ambitions grew, the trio officially rebranded the collective to Zaza Nation Entertainment in August 2025, a move they say reflects a broader vision of becoming a recognised creative force within the country’s entertainment landscape.
Today, the collective boasts seven members, combining music and dance to deliver energetic performances at events across Zimbabwe while promoting Bulawayo as a hub of youthful creativity.
Despite being relatively new, Zaza Nation Entertainment has already begun building an impressive profile. The group has released several singles, scooped two awards and performed at notable platforms, including the Imiklomelo kaDakamela Awards in both 2025 and 2026.
The collective is now preparing to release four singles in August, featuring collaborations with Stylish, Kissmore and Dolphin de Producer. The forthcoming project was produced by Stormza at Audio Works and continues the group’s exploration of the fast-growing Amapiano sound, while work is also underway on their debut album.
Leading the movement is Tripple M, born Mthabisi Mgcini Moyo on May 15, 2007. His passion for music was ignited while singing in the choir at Jubilee Academy. What began as a hobby in 2023 evolved into a serious career by mid-2024, with the young musician now blending Amapiano and Afro-pop influences inspired by the vibrancy of Bulawayo.
Alongside him is KingGhost, born Mzingaye Khumalo. The Nkulumane 12-based artiste made his breakthrough in 2023 with the track uPopile alongside Msindoe before gaining wider recognition in 2024 through the popular single Nomathemba, which helped the collective secure two major awards. He followed up the momentum in 2025 with Enjoyer, featuring Tripple M, Naija Boy and Msindoe, cementing his reputation as one of Bulawayo’s promising Amapiano voices.
The third founding member, Joe West, born Joseph Marshall Ndlovu developed his musical abilities by remixing songs and experimenting with melodies. Influenced by Zimbabwean music legends, he fuses Amapiano, Afro-pop and Maskandi to create a distinctive sound rooted in local culture.
The collective has also welcomed featured artiste Stylish, born Professor Babongile Moyo on December 13, 2007. A singer and dancer, Stylish incorporates Amapiano, Maskandi, Afropop and gospel into his music. Having launched his music career in 2025, he introduced his versatility with the single Mamas featuring YoungBlaq, released on March 20, and is expected to play a key role in the group’s upcoming releases.
Beyond producing music, Zaza Nation Entertainment says its long-term vision is to build a sustainable creative brand that develops emerging talent and creates opportunities for young artistes across Zimbabwe.
The collective is receiving mentorship from Firm Foundation Music Productions, led by senior gospel lecturer Collen Moyo, who has been instrumental in exposing the group to live performance opportunities and promotional events.
“We want to become one of Zimbabwe’s leading entertainment brands by discovering and nurturing young artistes while creating opportunities that grow the music, dance and arts sector.
“Through the mentorship we are receiving from Firm Foundation Music Productions, we have gained valuable exposure at various shows and promotional events.
“We are now appealing for sponsorship and partnerships from individuals, companies and organisations that believe in the power of youth and creativity. Such support will enable us to produce more music, develop more artistes and extend our impact across Zimbabwe and beyond,” said the collective.
