NEW: Cyprianos raring to go

SWIMMER Denilson Cyprianos will have his first event at the Olympics this morning when he competes in the men’s 200m backstroke at the Paris La Defense Arena at the ongoing Paris 2024 Games.
The event is scheduled for 11:21 am.

He is racing in Heat One, lane 7. There are four heats for this event.

The best 16 from the heats progress to the semi-finals. The remainder are eliminated.

The Zimbabwean swimmer is up against Ziyad Salem from Sudan, David Gerchik of Israel, Australia’s Se-Bom Lee, Kane Follows from New Zealand and Yeziel Morales from Puerto Rico.
