FC Platinum has announced changes to its executive committee, in line with the club’s strategic plan for 2024.
The changes see Dr Fabian Mashingaidze and Smartfin Techu step down from their respective positions as president and chairman of the club with immediate effect.
Techu will be replaced by Dumisani Sisale while Dr Mashingaidze will be succeeded by Dr Blessing Garamumhango.
Dr Mashingaidze will, however, remain at the club as the chairman of the sponsoring business unit, FC Platinum Holdings Company.
The changes come after the Zvishavane-based outfit settled for fourth position in the 2023 championship race with 55 points, 10 behind champions Ngezi Platinum Stars.
In a statement, FC Platinum’s life president George Mawere extended his gratitude to Techu and Dr Mashingaidze.
“George Mawere, Council of Elders, and the entire FC Platinum team extend their sincere gratitude to Dr Mashingaidze and Techu for their exceptional leadership and dedication to the club,” reads part of the statement.
“Their invaluable contributions have propelled FC Platinum to greater heights and their legacy will be remembered for years to come.
“The club wishes Dr Mashingaidze and Techu all the best in their future endeavors and looks forward to their continued support.
“Moreover, FC Platinum extends a warm welcome to Dr Blessing Garamumhango and Duminsani Sisale as they take on their new roles.”
