NEW: Fuel operators should continue with Dec 2021 prices

Online Reporter

The Zimbabwe Energy Regulatory Authority (Zera) has urged fuel operators to continue trading with December 2021 prices, as consultations for the January prices are still underway.

In a statement on Wednesday, Zera said consultations are still taking place at Government level as developments on the international oil markets are being monitored.

“According to Statutory Instrument 270 of 2019, Petroleum (Petroleum Products Pricing) regulations, the Zimbabwe Energy Regulatory Authority (Zera) is supposed to review and announce fuel prices by the 5th of every month.

“However, due to consultations that are taking place at Government level, as we monitor developments in the international oil markets, Zera will issue a statement on the January 2022 fuel prices after the statutory set date,” reads the statement.

Zera said the fuel prices for January will be announced in due course.
