NEW: Harare accounts for most suspected new cholera cases

Zimbabwe recorded 126 new suspected cholera cases on Monday, with Harare continuing to account for the bulk of new suspected cases.

According to the latest update by the Ministry of Health and Child Care, the 126 cases were reported from Glen View (22 new suspected cholera cases), Chitungwiza (17), Beatrice Road Infectious Disease Hospital (16), Kuwadzana (14), Buhera (9), Mbire (8), Chivi (7), Chipinge (6), Budiriro (6), Chirumhanzu (5), Gutu (4), Zaka (3), Mwenezi (3), Mberengwa (1), Bindura (1), Chegutu (1), Mutare (1), Zvishavane (1), and Masvingo (1).

As at December 18 2023, the country had recorded 12 287 suspected cholera cases, 1 529 confirmed cases, and 62 confirmed deaths.
