Online Reporter

A mouth-watering tie between defending champions JBC and debutants Basket Hounds will headline the opening weekend of the Harare Basketball Association (HBA) Super Six 2023/24 season.

According to the opening fixtures released by the HBA, the tie between the two sides will be the main attraction of this weekend’s round of action, which will also feature five other matches.

All six matches will be played in Greendale.

Greenstars are expected to kick off the day’s action when they come up against JBC women, while UZ Sparks meet Harare City Hornets.

Defending women’s champions Vixens wrap up the ladies’ matches when they square off against newly promoted Fillies.

In the men’s category, Foxes play UZ Stars, while Leopards Academy square off against Arcadia Bucs.

However, all eyes are expected to be fixed on the match between JBC and Basket Hounds.

Both teams go into the tie with perfect records, as they both finished the 2022/23 season undefeated in their respective league.

JBC clinched the inaugural HBA Super 6 season undefeated when they won all 25 of their games last term.

Hounds, on the other hand, secured their qualification courtesy of their own unbeaten run in the HBA ‘A’ League last season.
