DESPITE the proliferation of mobile phones, some Zimbabweans are still using letters to communicate, a new report shows.

According to the Postal and Telecommunications Regulatory Authority of Zimbabwe (Potraz)’s the third-quarter report to September, the country’s postal and courier volumes rose by 6,8 percent to 573 291 items, from 536 986 items in the same period a year earlier, driven by “growth in domestic letters”.

However, during the same period, international incoming and outgoing courier volumes declined significantly due to subdued international shipment.
