SUNGURA musician Mark Ngwazi feels Peter Moyo’s new album, “Mwana waMambo”, is “a superb effort”.

Moyo’s album – his sixth studio effort – was released on October 29.

“He (Peter Moyo) took his time. I have listened to the whole album; it is quite interesting. This is a great effort from Peter,” said Ngwazi.

“The album can easily rank among the best this year. It deserves attention; in fact, it has captured attention …

“It is us that have to keep sungura alive, and that can only be possible if we all produce good stuff for our followers.

“We have stiff competition from genres like Zimdancehall and Zim hip-hop, but with such good music, I believe sungura is safe.”

Peter Moyo is humbled by the support he is getting from colleagues and fans.

“The album seems to be doing well on the market. I am very happy with the support that I am getting from different spheres. It is such support that is encouraging us to continue pushing the limits,” said Moyo.
