NEW: MPs exempted from Harare’s parking fees

Jerry Chifamba
The Speaker of the National Assembly, Advocate Jacob Mudenda, has announced that Members of Parliament are now exempted from paying parking fees in Harare’s Central Business District (CBD).

Parking fees are US$1 per hour.

“I also wish to inform the House that the Administration of Parliament has reached an agreement with City Parking, to exempt two vehicles belonging to each of the Members of Parliament from paying parking fees in Harare’s Central Business District,” Advocate Mudenda said.

He urged MPs to submit copies of their vehicle registration documents to the Human Capital Department to finalise the arrangement.
