KUMBIRAI MUTIWEKUZIVA has been appointed Ngezi Platinum Stars’ assistant coach.

The former Herentals head coach has been drafted into the Mhondoro-based outfit’s technical department, as Ngezi Platinum prepare to fight on at least two major fronts.

The club will seek to defend its title and put on a good show in the Confederation of African Football (CAF) inter-club tournament later this year.

Mutiwekuziva’s appointment was confirmed by the Castle Lager Premier League champions in a statement on Wednesday.

“Ngezi Platinum Stars is pleased to announce the appointment of Kumbirai Mutiwekuziva as the club’s new assistant coach.

“Mutiwekuziva joins head coach Takesure Chiragwi’s technical team with immediate effect,” read the statement.

Mutiwekuziva finished in eighth position during the 2023 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League season with Herentals.
