NedBank Zimbabwe donated an assortment of goods worth US$1 000 to Vimbainesu Children’s Home in Zvimba.
The goods include books, groceries, clothes, broiler chicks and broiler feeds.
Vimbainesu Children’s Home currently looks after 51 disadvantaged and orphaned children.
The home was established in 1983.
The home’s director, Mrs Joyce Madzima, said:
“I want to thank NedBank Zimbabwe for showing love and compassion towards the children.
“This show of kindness is huge as the budget of the home falls short in addressing issues of food, clothing and projects. These are our children; they should not be discarded in their times of need.”
In April 2023, a group of Nedbank Zimbabwe volunteers, through the Nedbank Zimbabwe Volunteerism Programme, also came together to make a substantial donation of broiler chicks and broiler feed to the home.
The latest donation was driven by Nedbank’s participants in the Comrades Marathon, led by their captain Mr Patson Mhinda.
