NEW: Police release names of Chivhu bus accident victims

THE Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has released the names of 13 people who died in a road traffic accident that occurred on Sunday along the Chivhu-Buhera road.

They are Clifford Zvenyika (38) from Murambinda, Beatrice Nyambira (47) from Shurugwi, Percyline Chitondwe (36) from Harare, Lilian Taranhike (30) from Harare, Esnath Taruvinga from Buhera, Jenifer Rima (64) from Buhera, Zacharia Makonese (51) from Buhera, and Irene Chikwati from Murambinda.

Also among the deceased are Lovemore Matsivo (31) from Chivhu, Tafadzwa Rerai (30) from Buhera, Maria Gwatidzo (43) from Buhera, Flora Malungei (46) from Buhera and Esnath Ester Mubaiwa (52) from Harare.

In another accident, three people died while 27 others were injured when a commuter omnibus side-swiped with a Mandaza bus along the Hwedza-Mutiweshiri road on Monday.

The bus veered off the road before landing on its left side.

The deceased are Agnes Nyadongo (53), Caroline Banda (34) and Nenyasha Darara (4), all from Mutare.
