Zimbabwe Republic Police warns Motorists not to cross flooded rivers.

The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) have warned the motorists not to cross flooded rivers, as they risk being involved in accidents or causing damage to their vehicles.

In a statement on Tuesday, national police spokesperson Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi said a passenger was killed when the driver of the vehicle attempted to cross a flooded river.

“On January 17, 2022, one died when a Nissan Atlas 3 Tonne truck with one passenger on board, travelling along Gatche-Gatche, Kariba road was swept by water currents at Nyaodza Bridge.
