NEW: President Mnangagwa back home from SADC and TICAD engagements

PRESIDENT MNANGAGWA has returned home after attending the 45th Ordinary Summit of SADC Heads of State and Government in Antananarivo, Madagascar and the Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD) in Japan.

The President joined regional leaders in Madagascar, where he handed over the SADC chairmanship to the President of Madagascar, Andry Rajoelina.

The summit deliberated on peace, security, economic integration and sustainable development in Southern Africa.

He also engaged with international partners in Japan at TICAD, a platform that deepens Africa–Japan cooperation in trade, investment, and infrastructure development.
