NEW: Renowned academic, author Professor Mbigi dies

Renowned Zimbabwean consultant, entrepreneur, philosopher, academic and rainmaker Professor Lovemore Ndenda-Mbigi has died.

He was 68.

The Family’s spokesperson Mr Lee Ndenda confirmed the news.

“We are greatly pained. He passed on yesterday in the morning at his Kuwadzana 4 residence.

“We expect to lay his body to rest at Warren Hills tomorrow (Wednesday) at 2pm,” he said.

Professor Mbigi had tuberculosis and was diabetic.

“In 2021, he suffered a stroke and since then he never recovered.”

Prof Mbigi is famous for his book titled “In Search of the African Business Renaissance”, which gives practical and innovative guidelines to help African managers meet the transformational challenges created by the global competitive environment.

Mourners are gathered at house number 2667, 62 Crescent, Kuwadzana 4.
