HOSPITALITY company Rainbow Tourism Group (RTG) recently handed Hupenyu Hutsva Children’s Home in Highfield, Harare, a timely boost after it donated 20 beds, 120 blankets, 120 pillows and 120 drying towels as part of its corporate social responsibility programme.

RTG corporate communications and innovations manager Mrs Pride Khumbula said:

“We hope that these donations will go some way in bringing smiles and warmth to the children, especially with the cold weather that is being experienced this year.”

“In crafting the corporate social investment strategy, the company has sought guidance from the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).”

One of the care-givers, Mrs Tendai Tumbukani, hailed the donations.

“I am very happy as a mother that the children now have enough blankets during this cold season that is being experienced everywhere.”
