HAVING lost the bulk of his senior players during the pre-season transfer, Ngezi Platinum Stars coach Takesure Chiragwi has been impressed by the integration of the new players into the club’s system.
Chiragwi lost Never Tigere, Nelson Chadya, Carlos Mavhurume, Claude Mapoka, Moses Demera, Tinotenda Meke and Gareth Madhake.
But, he is happy with how the new signings have been integrated into the team.
Chiragwi handed home debuts to four players — Darlington Murasiranwa, Nyasha Gurende, Ashwin Karengesha and Gomezgani Chirwa.
“I am really happy with how the players have integrated into the team, how they have performed in their first game at home is something that excites us as a technical department.
“You would think you need to give them some time to understand the system but I am really happy with how the new players have adjusted and integrated into our system as a club.
“As a club, we want to make sure we have new blood that will keep on coming and also that we have young players who we want to try to make sure can grow the brand.”
Ngezi Platinum Stars have bagged four points in their first two matches.
Chiragwi believes the fine start will give the team some confidence going forward.
“It was a crucial win for us because I think we have changed how we start our season.
“In the past three seasons we have been struggling to get a win in our first five games, it was something which was beginning to look like a culture but it was not.”
