HIP-HOP artiste Nkosilathi Sibiya, who is popularly known as Voltz JT, has released a single and video for the song “Same Drawer neGown”.
The video has since garnered more than 246 000 views over seven days.
Voltz JT said the concept behind the visuals was to articulate how he lives on a day-to-day basis.
“I was trying to articulate how I live my life, from the time I wake up to checking my phone, a few push-ups to get my day started; to roll around town with my friends to gather inspiration for a recording session in the lounge,” he told The Sunday Mail Online.
The track focuses on the artistes’ come-up, especially before and after he rose to fame.
“The song focuses how I used to live my life before the fame and the work I put to create a name for myself while securing my engineering degree.
“It took a great amount of resilience while gunning for mainstream music success,” he said.
“The song serves as motivation to anyone who wishes to follow the same path.”
