NEW: Zim records 32 cholera deaths

THE country has recorded 32 confirmed cholera deaths since the outbreak started on February 12, latest statistics from the Ministry of Health and Child Care show.

According to the Ministry, cholera confirmed deaths have been recorded in Manicaland (22), Mashonaland Central (two), Mashonaland West (one), Masvingo (three), and Harare (four).”

“Zimbabwe has so far recorded 32 deaths, with 5 189 cases and 4 950 recoveries,” reads part of the update.

The national recovery rate is 97 percent.

Manicaland province has the highest number of cholera cases with 2 464 cases, followed by Harare province with 1 648 cases.
