A DELEGATION from the Parliament of Zimbabwe arrived in India on Monday to exchange notes, and to set a positive trajectory for the relations between the two legislatures.

The parliamentary visit is the first high-level exchange visit between the two countries’ Parliaments in the past 20 years.

In a statement, the Parliament of Zimbabwe said the visit presents an opportunity to strengthen the existing cordial relations through parliamentary diplomacy.

“Speaker of the National Assembly is currently undertaking a bilateral visit to the Indian Lok Sabha (Parliament of India).

“He was accompanied by members of the Portfolio Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Trade.

“Accordingly, the visit sets a positive trajectory for the relations between the two legislatures,” reads the statement.

The delegation toured Nehru’s Planetarium, a museum that explores the cosmological system and promotes astrology education.
