The 28-year-old man and his 21-year-old wife tied the knot at a colourful ceremony on September 4 in the city, only to part ways five days later.
The man’s parents said they were surprised when their son came to their house informing them that his wife was pregnant.
“According to my son, his wife started complaining of stomach pains a few days after the wedding day.
“The two apparently left our house a day after the wedding and went to their house in Romney Park. When he offered to take her to hospital, she resisted saying she would get better with time.
“He persisted until she told him that she was two months’ pregnant after being tricked into having sex by another man.
“When asked if she was raped she said she was just tricked,” said the man’s mother.
She said her son had ordered the woman out of their Romney Park home.
