NEXT DEMBARE ASSIGNMENT IS AGAINST LLOYD MUTASA’S MWOS

Lawrence Moyo

INCOMING coach Kelvin Kaindu faces an insurmountable task of rescuing Dynamos from relegation as they crumbled to their heaviest defeat of the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League season yesterday.

Chicken Inn cruised to a dominant 3-0 win in a basement battle at Barbourfields to move out of the relegation zone.

With the heavy loss, Dynamos remained second from bottom and are now left with just 11 matches to stage a miraculous escape.

Reigning Castle Lager Golden Boot winner, Lynoth Chikuhwa, opened the floodgates in the 20th minute before Mpumelelo Bhebhe and Michael Charamba added the other goals

Chikuhwa, who is on loan from Premiership newcomers, Scottland, punished the Dynamos defence following a throw in.

Bhebhe scored off a corner in the 42nd minute while Michael Charamba sealed the scoring in the 62nd minute.

With the defeat, Dynamos find themselves stuck on 16 points from 23 matches and eight points away from safety.

And having managed just two wins in 23 attempts, Dynamos now find themselves needing to win more than half of their remaining 11 games to survive.

Kaindu, who was removed from the Highlanders hot seat last month, is awaiting a work permit to assume the Dynamos post.

Dynamos fired Saul Chaminuka late last week citing poor results and will face MWOS in their next match at Rufaro this coming weekend.

What makes Dynamos’ task difficult is that their goal difference is now minus 15, largely because of a barren strike force.

They have conceded 21 goals in 23 matches, and the huge deficit is because they have managed just six goals.
