MADRID. — Barcelona and Brazil forward, Neymar, believes Lionel Messi has already won the Ballon d’Or, following last season’s performances.
The Argentine scored an impressive 58 goals in 57 appearances for the Catalan giants on their way their to winning the famous treble.
Messi has lost out on the previous two Ballon d’Ors to Real Madrid SuperStar, Cristiano Ronaldo, however the Barcelona forward has enjoyed a stellar 2015.
“This year the Ballon d’Or already has an owner,” Neymar told reporters.
“For everything that Messi has done this year he deserves it. We’ll have to see if I can get into the top three.”
The 23-year-old was instrumental in Brazil’s 2-1 win over Peru on Sunday evening and he insists he wants to keep on breaking records. — The Mirror.
