NGEZI Platinum Stars goalkeepers’ coach Cosmas ‘Tsano’ Zulu has donated his earnings from Chibuku Super Cup to the Centre of Miracles Church of Christ (CMCC) founded by former Bosso secretary-general Emmett Ndlovu in 2015.
Tsano handed over grocery hampers to 10 families as a way of giving back to the community.
Ndlovu, who served Bosso for 21 years in various capacities, starting as team physiotherapist before being appointed manager, is the founding pastor of the CMCC.
He told Chronicle Sport that he doesn’t harbour ambitions of returning to sports administration as he was enjoying his new clergy role.
Zulu and Ndlovu worked together at Highlanders for over six years.
“I am overwhelmed by this gesture from Zulu. He has made several donations to this ministry in the past, but this time he came and said he wants to give a smile to some families in the church and we are grateful. Words cannot describe how much l feel today. We worked together at Highlanders and it’s good that we have maintained a relationship since then and he is supporting my work out of football,” said Ndlovu.
Zulu said his gesture was also aimed at motivating footballers to give back to the community.
“The reason l made this donation is because he is a soft spoken and peaceful man. I jog in this area and l said to myself if only l can get more so l can support the man of God. After getting my Chibuku Super Cup earnings, l said to myself this is work and l cannot spend the money on myself hence l decided to make this donation,” said Zulu.
One of the beneficiaries Violet Nyathi said : “I am grateful to Mr Zulu for donating to us this Christmas.” – @innocentskizoe
