Nguru eyes Mat victory

Championships at the Bulawayo Golf Club this weekend.
The golfer has won two out of the four major trophies this season and is positive going into this weekend’s tournament.
“I think I can play a good game this time around. There are some good players but my recent form has spoken for itself and basing on that I think I can manage to win.
“I have confidence in that I started my season on a high note and I look forward to a great outing.
“The Zimbabwe amateur tournament is now water under the bridge and I am now looking forward to this tournament.
“I have been practising and I have a good swing,” Nguru said.
Nguru won the Julius Robinson Trophy and the Midlands amateur tournament.
However, it will be the return of top amateur Scott Vincent, who won the Zimbabwe Amateur Championship, that will hog the limelight.
Vincent is the defending champion after he went on four match-winning streak last season.
Vincent missed the first three tournaments as he took his game to South Africa and won the Zimbabwe Amateur on his return.
The tournament is expected to attract a field of 55 golfers.
