WITH the Zimbabwean flag firmly in her sights and a nation’s hopes resting on her shoulders, Miss Supranational Zimbabwe 2026 Nicole Nyawera has declared that her journey to Poland is bigger than personal ambition – it is a mission to represent Zimbabwe on one of the world’s biggest beauty stages. The reigning queen departed for Nowy Sącz, Poland, on Sunday evening, receiving a warm send-off from family, friends and supporters at the Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport ahead of the Miss Supranational 2026 competition.

While the pageant will see contestants from more than 60 countries competing for the coveted crown, Nyawera says her focus is on flying Zimbabwe’s flag high and showcasing the country’s beauty, resilience and spirit to the world.
“Poland, here I come. Every dream begins with one bold step. Today I take mine as I head to Poland to represent the nation I love,” she said before departure.
“With immense gratitude and pride, I leave to represent Zimbabwe on the Miss Supranational stage. Carrying my country’s flag is an honour I don’t take lightly, and I can’t wait to share the beauty, resilience and spirit of Zimbabwe with the world.
“Thank you to everyone who has supported me on this journey. This is for Zimbabwe.”

Nyawera earned the right to represent the country after being crowned Miss Supranational Zimbabwe 2026 at the Miss Universe Zimbabwe grand finale last month.
Speaking to the Zimpapers Entertainment Hub before boarding her flight, the beauty queen said she feels ready for the challenge after weeks of intensive preparation.
“I’ve been preparing physically by maintaining a healthy lifestyle and staying active. Mentally, I’m practising interviews and keeping up with current affairs,” she said.
Founded in 2009, Miss Supranational has evolved into one of the globe’s premier pageantry platforms, celebrated for promoting beauty, culture, confidence and international goodwill.
The competition will feature a series of preliminary activities and fast-track challenges before the grand finale on July 31. Contestants will be assessed throughout the competition, with the field gradually narrowed down to a Top 24, Top 12 and eventually the Top Five finalists.
At the conclusion of the pageant, outgoing Miss Supranational Eduarda Braum of Brazil will crown her successor.
