NICOZDIAMOND Insurance has donated US$5 000 worth of books, groceries, and household goods to the Midlands Children’s Home, which looks after 85 disadvantaged and orphaned children.

For years, NicozDiamond has supported the home through monetary and in-kind donations of basic necessities to ensure the children and staff live in comfort.

“We look forward to continuing to make a positive impact on the lives of those in need,” said Noel Manika, general manager of operations, at the official handover ceremony.

“Caring for our community is a core part of NicozDiamond’s values.”

Midlands Children’s Home provides shelter, food, clothes and skills training to help reunite children with their families or become self-sufficient.

According to the home’s director, the donation will go a long way in improving the lives of the children in their care for many months to come.

NicozDiamond Insurance has long had a passion for spreading kindness in the communities it serves, as a company that protects people during times of hardship, NicozDiamond understands the importance of helping the less fortunate.

The short-term insurer is part of First Mutual Holdings Limited, which has an active corporate social responsibility program.

NicozDiamond also sponsors tertiary scholarships for disadvantaged students through the First Mutual Foundation. Currently, six students are receiving full 4-year scholarships to study at African universities. Through acts of goodwill like the donation to Midland’s Children’s Home, NicozDiamond and First Mutual Holdings are working to build a brighter future for communities across Zimbabwe.

By giving vulnerable youth the gift of education and caring for children in need, they are making a lasting social impact. Their generous donation is helping to make a real difference in the lives of some of Zimbabwe’s most vulnerable children.
