Nigerien leader dissolves regional, city, municipal councils

Abdourahamane Tchiani, president of the National Council for the Safeguard of the Homeland of Niger, issued an order on Thursday dissolving the country’s regional, city and district councils, Xinhua learned from an official source.

Tchiani then signed a decree appointing delegated administrators, on the proposal of the minister in charge of the interior, to administer rural municipalities, urban municipalities, cities and municipal districts. – Xinhua
