NISHA Ts CHEERS VULNERABLE KIDS AT HARARE CHILDREN’S HOME

IT was all smiles at Harare Children’s Home last week after Afro-Dancehall singer Nisha Ts teamed up with financial services giant Zimnat to donate groceries.

The visit turned into more than just a donation drive as children received mentorship and motivation aimed at preparing them for life beyond the institution’s walls.

Nisha Ts, who grew up under the care of her grandmother, challenged the orphans to rise above their circumstances and chase their dreams with courage and discipline.

“You can become anything you want if you stay focused and believe in yourself.

“Be responsible, grow your confidence while at this institution and make smart life choices.

“I want my life to be your powerful reminder that despite hardship, your future is still full of possibilities,” said Nisha TS.

The donation by Zimnat is a continuation of a long-standing relationship with Harare Children’s Home that also saw the company previously availing school uniforms after a devastating fire hit the home in 2023.

Speaking during the visit, Zimnat General Insurance CEO, Hazel Nyamuba, said true empowerment goes beyond gifts.

“For Zimnat, prosperity means giving people hope, confidence and the opportunity to build better futures.

“True prosperity is built when people are given not only practical support, but also the knowledge, encouragement and belief they need to shape a better future,” said Nyamuba.

Zimnat marketing executive, Tatenda Marongwe, said the initiative was especially meaningful as the company celebrates 80 years in business.

“Our legacy is not just about how long we have existed, but about the lives we continue to touch.

“Supporting children as they build confidence for the future is one of the most meaningful ways we can live our purpose,” she said.

Founded in the early 1920s, Harare Children’s Home has cared for generations of vulnerable children and currently houses more than 100 orphans and vulnerable children in Eastlea.
