THE city comes alive as the festive mood sweeps through, with entertainment joints rolling out mouth-watering menu of music, dance and good times. From Christmas Eve shutdown gigs to long-weekend groove sessions, revellers are spoiled for choice as Mutare transforms into a playground of sound, colour and celebration.
Muchina Muhombe Joy Centre
The joint situated in Penhalonga, will host a sizzling Christmas Eve Shutdown Gig, bringing together a powerful line-up of artistes and DJs. Headliners Nisha Ts, Caff and MC Bento will set the stage alight, backed by DJ Payne and DJ Easy, while supporting acts Clot Fire, Hwinza Light and Cyber Crew add extra flavour to the night.
Chitsa Bar and Liquids
The joint will be the heartbeat of the party weekend. Festivities kick-off on Friday with “Friday Made Me Do It”, where DJs Stixxie and Popinjo will serve a sizzling dose of new-school sounds. The energy spills into Saturday as the duo headlines socialite Jay Bee’s birthday celebrations. The weekend rolls into the Unity Day Chillout, where exciting dance ensemble Retaliation Bluz Dance Group will entertain patrons as DJ Tawaz takes patrons down memory lane with timeless old-school classics. DJs Stixxie and Popinjo will headline the Unity Day Eve festivities.
The Platinum Leisure Centre
Afro-fusion singer, Dereck Mpofu, headlines the homecoming show to be held at the spacious joint on Saturday. Popular for songs such as Mari, Ndinokakama, Chisikana Change Zimbabwe, among others, the talented songwriter will jump on stage from 6pm.
Liquor Star
The joint will be marking its second anniversary in style tonight. The venue will be buzzing as Zim dancehall artiste Culture Love, DJ Eazy, MC Bento and Caff headline the celebrations.
Club Mandisa
The spotlight will be on Nasty and Smokes, who are expected to deliver a no-holds-barred party experience. Known for their crowd-moving sets, the duo will ensure patrons stay on their feet well into the night. Adding to the excitement, a troupe of vixens drawn from across the country will perform in the VIP area. Patrons in the VIP section can expect an immersive experience where music, dance and style converge for an unforgettable night.
Madziro Bar
The joint offers the perfect escape, hosting DJ Candyman from tonight right through to Monday. With fresh air, and nonstop music, Madziro Bar promises relaxed yet energetic sessions under the stars.
Brews and Barrels
Located at Florida Shopping Centre, patrons can expect nothing but premium vibes. DJs Spillz and Phulstop will be on the decks, serving carefully curated mixes to complement the venue’s relaxed, modern setting, which is perfect for unwinding while still keeping the groove alive.
