DYNAMOS have decided to loan out strikers Evans Katema and Martin Ofori to Black Rhinos and Sheasham respectively.

The two forwards have six months left on their contracts with the Glamour Boys which they will see out while on loan.

They have spent the first 13 matches of the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League season without playing competitive football as they had not been registered to play.

But they have been training with the rest of the squad over the period hoping to impress coach Herbert “Jompano” Maruwa.

The latter has been keeping a close eye on them and even expressed interest in registering Katema this mid-season window period to plug goal-scoring woes amongst his strike-force.

But it appears neither of them managed to convince the former Black Rhinos gaffer who has green-lighted their moves away from the Harare giants.

Although Dynamos executive chairman Moses Maunganidze could not be drawn into revealing the duo’s destinations, The Herald is reliably informed that Katema is headed for Rhinos while Ofori will be at Sheasham.

In fact, Black Rhinos and Sheasham have already agreed terms with the Glamour Boys with the two clubs currently concluding talks with the players involved.

Maunganidze revealed the club will be parting ways with Katema and Ofori.

“I can confirm that we are in talks with two different teams for loan transfers of Evans Katema and Martin Ofori.

“The two players will go to those Premiership teams for the next six months,” said Maunganidze.

“We have already agreed terms with the clubs involved and principally, the deals are almost done.

“The two players have been training with us since they are our players all this time. But we will be letting them go for them to have some game time. They are a special breed of players who are excellent at what they do.

“They are into the final six months of their contracts with us. We will be hoping to have them once again. But for now, the most important thing for them is to get some game time.

“We have a squad that has done very well so far this season and the technical team is impressed. “These two players are very good and we would like to see them doing well. They will do so with more game time”.

DeMbare will also loan back the newly-acquired duo of Ephan Gwavava and Meki Meki to lower division side Dulibazimu United.

The two youngsters penned three-year deals with the Glamour Boys a fortnight ago.

They impressed Maruwa when Dynamos played a friendly match against Dulibazimu in Beitbridge early this year.

And they were invited for further auditions by the Glamour Boys who decided to take them aboard. But the pair will not immediately don the Glamour Boys shirt as they will have to spent a further six months at their former team.

“The two (Meki and Gwavava) will be loaned back to Dulibazimu. They will spend the next six months there as we have agreed a loan deal with Dulibazimu,” said Maunganidze.

“They will be back at the end of the year and we are sure they will add a lot of value to the squad.

“We need them to have enough game time for now which is the reason why we have decided to loan them to the same team they are coming from.

“These are youngsters who need to be given a lot of game time for them to enjoy”.
