CAPS UNITED coach Lloyd Chitembwe has declared that his team will not have any mercy on Highlanders, or any other team they will play, despite having nothing but pride to play for in the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League. With the league title out of sight and the lower leagues condemning chop not anywhere near their heads,

As they prepare for the visit of troubled Highlanders at the National Sports Stadium this afternoon, sixth placed Caps United are 15 points off the pace and 13 points above the drop zone.However, Chitembwe is not in a relaxed mood and is demanding a strong finish from the 2006 champions.
“The pressure that we have as a team is healthy. It’s within us, we just want to try to do well for ourselves and that’s quite healthy and augurs well for the ambitions of the football club as well,” said Chitembwe. “So if you have that kind of pressure am talking about you are always seeking to do the best and I think it’s quite good.
“Our target is to do well in this fixture, we did well in Hwange (1-0 win) and we are looking forward to a correct application on Sunday (today) and hopefully we will get a result,” said Chitembwe.
United have struggled at home this season winning just two of their 11 home matches but have only lost once , 1-2 away to Chapungu, in their last nine away ties.
Interestingly their home wins came against the title chasing duo of Chicken Inn and FC Platinum.
The Green Machine has scored just once in their last four matches at home and they will be under the spotlight again as Bosso visit.
It’s a run of form that is not worrying Chitembwe much as “those matches are in the past and the challenge is now to work hard and look forward to a better future.”
Chitembwe was sweating over the availability of veteran striker Leonard Tsipa whom he said had a minor knock.
Tsipa might have scored only twice but his fellow Caps players have lauded his influence, and his availability will give the side the much needed belief.
Dominic Chungwa, who has scored five goals this campaign, is another option Chitembwe can bank on in the search for goals.
Caps won the reverse fixture 1-0.
