Beauty (54) from Rietvallei in Kagiso, Mogale City, said: a�?I urge all mums to stand up for what is right.

a�?Mothers should not protect their children if they have committed a crime.

a�?They must hand them over to the police instead of shielding them.

a�?He can blame me all he wants, but he should know I dona��t promote nonsense.

a�?He deserves to be punished for what he did.

a�?I have no money to bury that girl because Ia��m unemployed.

a�?But Ia��ll do everything in my power to get donations.a�?

Beauty said she knew her sona��s lover very well.

a�?She was a respectful child and didna��t deserve to die like that,a�? she said.

She said on the day the lover died, she had an argument with her son.

a�?My son was abusive and always beat her up,a�? she said.

a�?She ran to my house to be away from him.a�?

Her son allegedly came the following morning to fetch his girlfriend.

Police spokesman Captain Solomon Sibiya confirmed to the Peoplea��s Paper that a murder case was opened and a 30-year-old man had been arrested.
