Speaking to Sowetan, Lee said he felt that the Downville House — where the non-celebrities are staying — was just for entertaining viewers so one can be promoted to the Upville House, and then continue to compete for the grand prize of US$300 000.
“The StarGame in the Downville House is not for the money, but to entertain viewers, while being in the Upville House is where the heat of the game starts,” Lee said.
The evicted housemates said it was not easy being in the house for 42 days. Jessica (22) said she was sometimes bored.
“There is a huge difference being in the house and seeing it on television. In reality, you don’t know what to do in there.”
The reserved Lee said living under the same roof with 28 other people was shocking. “You need to learn to be patient.”
Lee, who is a graphic design student in Cape Town, said: “I realised from Big Brother that I do not need technology to live my life. I have learned to be more creative and now my life heads in a different direction, not acting though, maybe presenting.”
Jessica, who is also a student, said: “The house has made me a stronger person, I have learned not to judge anyone.”
Jessica hopes her eight-day relationship with Liberia Luke continues. — DStv.
