HIGHLANDERS have said there will be no ticket sales at the gates when Bosso host bitter rivals Dynamos in Sunday’s Battle of Zimbabwe at Barbourfields Stadium.
Fans intending to attend the blockbuster clash, which forms part of Highlanders’ centenary celebrations and the Kuzana Sport and Creative Economy Expo Zimbabwe, have been urged to buy their tickets in advance.
The move is aimed at improving crowd management, security and the overall match-day experience, with the club seeking to avoid the chaos that often accompanies last-minute ticket purchases at the stadium.
Highlanders chief executive officer Denzil Mnkandla said the historic fixture required careful planning because of its significance to the club and Zimbabwean football.
“This is not simply a football match; it is a significant moment in the history of Highlanders Football Club and in the story of Zimbabwean football,” said Mnkandla.
“As a club, we want this Centenary celebration to be professionally organised and to reflect the stature of Highlanders and the importance of our supporters. We are therefore urging all supporters and football lovers intending to attend to secure their tickets in advance.”
Supporters have therefore been urged to purchase their tickets before match day to avoid being turned away at the gates.
