THE Nomination Court is sitting at the Bulawayo Magistrates’ Court Number five to officially receive nomination papers from aspiring candidates for the Nkulumane National Assembly by-election.

The court will determine the final list of candidates contesting the poll scheduled for December 20.

Prospective candidates from different political parties, as well as independent hopefuls, are filing their papers today to officially join the race.

The by-election was necessitated by the tragic death of the constituency’s legislator, Desire Moyo, who died in a road accident on October 10 this year. The calling of the poll follows a proclamation by President Mnangagwa, setting the date for the election.
