NOMINATIONS for The List Awards 2026 have officially opened, with organisers inviting entries from Zimbabwe, Southern Africa and East Africa for recognition of individuals making a lasting impact in their communities through leadership, service and innovation.

The awards celebrate individuals whose work reflects the values of Unhu/Ubuntu and who have demonstrated measurable community impact over at least five years.

In a statement, The List Awards board chairperson Pastor Philani Nyatsanza said the initiative seeks to honour individuals whose contributions often go unnoticed despite transforming lives.

“Behind every thriving community is someone whose contribution may never make the headlines, yet whose work changes lives.

“The List Awards exist to honour these quiet leaders, innovators, community builders and champions of humanity whose impact deserves recognition,” he said.

The Zimbabwe Impact Awards will recognise outstanding contributions in Business Impact, Humanitarian Impact, Social Impact, Youth Impact, Poverty Alleviation Impact, Climate and Environment Impact, Human Rights Impact, Sports Impact, Entertainment Impact, and Storytelling and Journalism.

Regional Impact Awards will honour exceptional changemakers from Southern Africa and East Africa.

Organisers said the awards are open to individuals aged 18 years and above who have made verifiable contributions over a minimum period of five years.

Both self-nominations and third-party nominations are accepted, and no nomination fee is required.

Nominations opened on June 15 and will close on July 26.
