Northern Central district wins big

NORTHERN Central district won the 2017 Harare Province NASH athletics competition at Eaglesvale High School on Friday. The Northern Central district is made up of schools like St George’s, St John’s Emerald Hill, Mount Pleasant, Hatcliffe and Vainona. The NASH national finals will be hosted by Lomagundi College next month. Harare Province were partnered by First Mutual who sponsored the event while Eaglesvale provided the venue.

Northern Central were outstanding as they won 31 gold, 23 silver and 11 bronze medals for a total 69 medals. Glenview Mufakose amassed 64 medals made up of 25 gold, 19 silver and 20 bronze to finish second.

Last year’s winners, Mbare-Hatfield District, finished third with 26 gold, 16 silver and 12 bronze medals.

Warren Park Mabelreign district came fourth.
