MWOS U19 players, defender Keith Handirambe and striker Timothy Kushata, have been called up for national duty with the Zimbabwe Under-23 football team that is going to face Mauritius in the CAF 2028 Olympic Games qualifiers at the end of the month.
The call-up signals yet another show of confidence in the MCM Estates Northern Region Soccer League, which is regarded as one of the country’s most competitive leagues.
For MWOS U19, having two of their players selected for national duty means that the club’s aggressive development project is finally paying dividends.
The players are going to play alongside some of the country’s brightest prospects, the majority of whom are products of well-established academies in the United Kingdom.

In the battle for relegation, Marere climbed two places up the ladder from the bottom after two consecutive wins.
The Sanyati-based side shocked FC Oden in Chinhoyi on Wednesday.
They had earlier accounted for fellow strugglers Batanai of Bindura 2-0 at Rimuka Stadium. A single win will hoist the team out of the relegation zone.
Coach Justice Chasura is confident that the team will escape relegation.
“We picked the right form at the right time.
“All we need to do is to keep winning,” Chasura said.
