NORTON Town Council’s partnership with Christ Citadel Church, which has resulted in the rehabilitation of Dambiza, has been hailed as a commendable example of collaborative community development.

Norton Town Council acting public relations officer, Mr Leeroy Kaponda, said the initiative reflects a shared commitment to improving infrastructure, enhancing accessibility and promoting economic activity within Norton.

“By working together, both institutions are demonstrating how public-private partnerships can effectively address service delivery challenges and contribute to sustainable urban development,” he said.

“Such cooperation not only accelerates project implementation but also strengthens community engagement and ownership.”

Mr Kaponda said the project stood as a model for future partnerships aimed at building a modern, safe and well-connected Norton. He said the project was expected to be completed in May.
