NRZ’s Mutare-bound leisure train makes a stop in Marondera

The National Railways of Zimbabwe (NRZ)’s leisure train, en route to Mutare, made its first official stop in Marondera at 0927hrs this morning.

The train departed from Harare at 0712hrs.

Passengers disembarked to stretch their legs and purchased goodies before the journey continued.

This special rail service, a collaborative effort between the NRZ, the Tourism and Hospitality Industry Ministry, and the Zimbabwe Tourism Authority, aims to boost domestic tourism.

It connects the capital city to Mutare, the host of the upcoming 18th Sanganai/Hlanganani World Tourism Expo.

Travellers on the inaugural trip are buzzing with excitement, eager to experience the breathtaking landscapes of the Eastern Highlands.
