TRIANGLE FC coach Gishon Ntini has vowed that his side will not be relegated at the end of this season. He demanded respect in the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League. In an interview after his team drubbed Monomotapa 4-0 in a midweek game played in Harare, Ntini said Triangle is now a formidable outfit with the potential of beating any team in the league.

“We are now a force to reckon with in the league capable of upsetting any team. We now deserve to be respected. It has become clearer that we are not relegation material,” he said.

The outspoken gaffer said he has never thought of relegation as he believes in his charges.
“It is not a secret that Triangle is playing good football especially at the moment. If there is a thing that I have never dreamt of is relegation because I have self-belief and also believe in my players. Of course I cannot talk of accolades now but the reality is my team will still be in the league, come next season. I want to show all our remaining opponents that the win on Tuesday was not a fluke,” he said.

Ntini has warned FC Platinum and said it would be tough on Sunday when the two teams lock horns in a league game at Gibbo Stadium.
“We are meeting FC Platinum on Sunday and I want to warn them that it won’t be an easy stroll in the park. We are ready to collect maximum points and I do not mind whether they are enjoying a purple patch or not,” he said.

Lloyd Mutasa’s team is bubbling with confidence after they dismissed Dynamos 2-0 at Mandava Stadium in Zvishavane on Wednesday in another midweek game.

FC Platinum scored in the first minute through Elvis Moyo before Charles Sibanda scored the second from the penalty spot in the 25th minute to hand DeMbare their first defeat at Mandava Stadium since the platinum miners were promoted into the league.

“FC Platinum may have the resources but resources do not play football. We are going to hand them a defeat and Mutasa should know that although I respect him as one of the top coaches, we are leaving no stone unturned in preparing for this match and it is unfortunate for Lodza because he is meeting us when we are in terrific form,” he said.

He urged fans to come in their numbers to cheer up the team.
“We have instilled confidence in the team by winning and collecting important points away from home. It is high time we perform better at home and I promise that we will do our best on Sunday. FC Platinum is a good side so is my team and I am expecting a good game. My appeal to fans is that they should come in their numbers to support their team. They are the 12th man,” he said.

Triangle has climbed up the ladder to position eight from 10th on the log with six games remaining.
