NYARADZO Group Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Philip Mataranyika has urged Zimbabweans to get the Covid vaccination, which keeps people safe from the novel respiratory disease.

Mr Mataranyika who was recently vaccinated said vaccines are amongst preventive care measures available, and come highly recommended, even by the World Health Organisation (WHO).

“Vaccines are amongst preventive care measures available, and come highly recommended, even by the World Health Organisation. History shows that vaccination reduces the burden of infectious disease, which is why I had to take the lead as Nyaradzo Group CEO by getting vaccinated,” he said.

Mr Mataranyika added that the fact that Covid-19 is real is no longer debatable.

“The disease is now part of our lives and so much that our survival lies in our ability to live with it. Now that government has started rolling out Covid-19 vaccines to build herd immunity, catch the wave and don’t be left behind by getting vaccinated,” he said.

He added that Covid-19 vaccines are safe and help keep people safe from the respiratory disease, which can be fatal.

“I am not talking about what I don’t practice myself. I was recently vaccinated, and therefore I am encouraging you to get the jab as well,” he said.
